BloomPlayer is a simple web app built for children to watch YouTube videos without any distractions. There are no controls like rewind, skip, or progress bars. You, as the parent, set up the video, lock it with a PIN, and hand it to your child—the video just plays from start to finish.
It was built by a mom to help children (specifically those with autism) who get stuck in repetitive loops by constantly hitting the rewind button. BloomPlayer removes the controls entirely so the focus stays on simply watching and enjoying the content.
Yes—BloomPlayer is completely free. We don't have ads, paywalls, or hidden subscriptions. Our goal is just to keep the tools you and your children rely on simple and free. As the app grows, we might add optional features to help cover development costs, but the core experience will always stay free. If you'd like to support what we're building, voluntary contributions via Ko-fi are always welcome!
iOS or Android app isn't supported yet. Currently, BloomPlayer runs right in your browser. On iPhone, just tap Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android, Chrome will usually prompt you to install it as an app.
Sign-in & Account
Yes, signing in lets us save a secure profile for you. This holds your custom library and your Parent PIN, so everything stays the same no matter which device you use.
It keeps your library and PIN synced to the cloud. We only store your email address to identify your account—nothing else.
Parent PIN & Security
You create your 4-digit PIN during your first setup. If you need to change it later, just long-press the BloomPlayer logo to open Settings.
On the PIN screen, tap "Send reset link." We’ll email you a secure link to reset it right away.
We highly recommend using Guided Access (iOS) or App Pinning (Android). These are built-in device features that physically lock the child into the app so they can't leave.
Watching & Reporting
Just pick a video or paste a link, then tap "Start video." This engages the full-screen shield so your child can watch without interruption.
Yes! Just head to the "My Library" tab to save your own YouTube links.

Privacy & Safety
Open the Parent Dashboard (via the settings gear or by long-pressing the logo) and select "Delete account." This will permanently wipe all of your data from our servers.
No. Children never interact with sign-in or forms; the app is entirely configured by you, the parent.
No, we are an independent project. We use standard YouTube tools to show videos, but we don't have any formal relationship with YouTube or Google.
