BloomPlayer is built by a parent, for parents. Your child never creates an account or fills in any form. Everything here applies to you — the parent using the app.

1. Information we collect

a. Personal Information (from parents)

  • Email address – required to sign in and save your profile.
  • Name and profile photo – only collected if you sign in with Google (as provided automatically by Google).
  • Parent PIN – the 4-digit code you set, securely saved to your account.
  • Your video library – any YouTube link you save to "My Library" is stored in our secure cloud database tied to your profile.
  • Watch history – we log which videos are completed from start-to-finish so we can show you a "✓ Watched" progress badge.
  • Child profiles (optional) – you may select a broad age range (e.g., "Primary 5–8") to filter content. We never ask for a child’s real name, birthdate, or contact information.

b. Non‑Personal Information

  • Usage data – anonymized information about how you interact with the app (e.g., number of sessions, device type, age group selected) to help us improve the BloomPlayer experience.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide services – sign you in, save your custom video library across devices, and enforce your Parent PIN lock.
  • To improve the app – analyze usage patterns (anonymously) to make BloomPlayer run faster and more reliably.
  • To communicate – send you secure sign‑in links or PIN reset emails.
  • To ensure security – protect your account and prevent unauthorized access.

We use trusted third‑party services to help run the app (such as Google Firebase for cloud hosting and authentication). These service providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it for the purposes we specify. We do not sell your information to anyone.

3. How we store and protect your information

Storage: Your data (including your video library and watch history) is stored securely in our cloud database infrastructure. It is kept safe and active as long as your account is active.

Security: We use industry‑standard encryption and security practices. Only you can access your customized data via your signed‑in account.

Data retention: When you request account deletion, your information is purged from our live database immediately. Routine system backups may take up to 30 days to fully cycle out and erase historical snapshot fragments.

4. Your choices and rights

Delete account – To permanently erase your account, access the Parent Portal and navigate to the Danger Zone to delete your profile. This instantly wipes your email, custom PIN, video library, and watch history from our active servers.

Change PIN – You can change your PIN at any time by accessing Settings via the Parent Portal.

Manual deletion request – If you cannot sign into your account to delete it yourself, please email [email protected] and we will handle it manually.

5. Children’s privacy

BloomPlayer is explicitly a parent‑controlled tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Any age-filtering options you select only store a broad category block—we never require a real name, specific location, or child contact details.

If you believe a child has created an account directly or their information has somehow reached us, email [email protected] and we will delete it immediately.

6. Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change to how we handle your data, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will never quietly add invasive tracking or sell your data.
